Jack is a member of The Monmouth County Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Newark Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He began his career with The Guardian Life Insurance Company in 1981 after attending St. Bonaventure University. Jack has earned numerous honors and industry accolades throughout the course of his distinguished career. He has served 21 times as a member of Guardian’s “Executive Committee”, and is currently serving as Vice President of the 2007 – 2008 Executive Committee.

Jack is a sought out speaker on various financial subjects both domestically and internationally and an industry mentor to hundreds of career financial professionals.

Jack, his wife, Iwona, and three daughters, Alexandria, Brielle and Courtney reside in Rumson, New Jersey.

Steven Ferrara entered the insurance business with the Guardian Life Insurance Company in 1974 as a Financial Representative and qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), making him the youngest producer ever to attain membership in that prestigious international organization.

Steven took over leadership of his agency, Northeast Planning Corporation,  in 1989 as General Agent and has consistently qualified for GAMA’s Master Agency Award, has maintained Platinum status with Guardian and won the Guardian’s prestigious President’s Cup award for outstanding agency of the year in 1999.

As an industry leader, Steven was Essex NAIFA President in 1985 and the New Jersey State NAIFA President in 1991 and has received both the Local Life Underwriter of the Year and the New Jersey State Life Underwriter of the Year awards.  Today he is a member of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioners Advisory Board, where over the last nine years he has helped advise the department and the industry on many regulatory issues.

Scott Alters has been in the financial services industry for over 27 years. Scott works very closely with Jack when developing plan designs for his clients. Scott is proficient in the web based system, The Living Balance Sheet^® and runs the Financial Planning Department at our affiliate NEPC location.

Scott shares his knowledge as a mentor to career changers and new financial professionals entering into the business and heads the training department.

Mike Salvatore is our Investment Strategist. Mike has extensive experience from a diverse background working at Morgan Stanley, Schonfeld Securities, and New England Financial.

His role at Howley Financial Group is to support HFG clients in analyzing and building investment portfolios, researching and identifying investment opportunities, and managing all equity accounts, as well as estate planning.

Artie has been in the financial services industry for19 years, starting his career as a financial consultant after receiving his bachelor of science in finance from the University of Rhode Island.

As Vice President of Investments at Gruntal & Co., he advised and implemented investment strategies for individual and institutional clients with a full range of investment products, including stocks, options, mutual funds, municipal and corporate bonds, as well as retirement and estate planning products.

He continued his financial career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and served as senior sales trader/broker handling order execution for large broker/dealers and hedge funds. He brings a broad scope of knowledge and expertise to round out the Howley Financial Group.

Debbie is the office manager and has been with Howley Financial Group for over 16 years. She handles the day-to- day business operations including the delegation of specialists during the planning process. As a project coordinator she is responsible for providing their clients a high-level concierge-styled experience.

Ken Phillips comes to HFG with an extensive amount of experience in all aspects of marketing.

He supports Howley Financial Group in areas of professional alliance support, branding, press and advertising relations.

Rob is one of HFG’s newest members. He came to them from The New York Stock Exchange, where his career spanned 26 years.
